1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Brain Teaser LA website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Brain Teaser LA regarding your use of our website, booking system, and escape room experiences. Brain Teaser LA reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting on the website.

2. Booking and Reservations

All bookings for Brain Teaser LA escape rooms must be made in advance through our website, by phone, or in person. A valid credit card is required to secure your reservation. Payment is processed at the time of booking.

You must arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled booking time. Late arrivals may result in shortened game time or cancellation without refund at our discretion. The minimum age requirement for participation varies by room theme, as indicated on each room's description page.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled booking time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 24-48 hours will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will not be refunded.

Rescheduling is available at no additional cost if requested at least 24 hours before your booking time, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your booking may incur a 25% rescheduling fee.

Brain Teaser LA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, technical issues, or maintenance. In such cases, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

4. Participation Rules and Safety

All participants must sign a waiver before participating in any escape room experience. Participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.

For safety reasons, the following are strictly prohibited in our escape rooms:

Use of physical force on props, furniture, or fixtures
Photography or video recording inside the escape rooms
Use of mobile phones or other electronic devices during the game
Bringing food or beverages into the escape rooms
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Disruptive behavior that affects other participants' experience

Brain Teaser LA reserves the right to remove participants who violate these rules without refund. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, particularly if we believe their participation may pose a risk to themselves, other participants, our staff, or our facilities.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Brain Teaser LA website, including text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of Brain Teaser LA or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

The puzzles, room designs, narratives, and all creative elements of our escape rooms are proprietary and confidential. By participating in our escape rooms, you agree not to disclose or publish solutions, clues, or details that would spoil the experience for future participants.

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of our website or escape room concepts without express written permission from Brain Teaser LA.

6. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

7. Limitation of Liability

Brain Teaser LA provides its website and services "as is" and "as available" without any warranty or condition, express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that our website or services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Participation in escape rooms involves physical activity. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment, participants assume all risks associated with such activities. Brain Teaser LA is not liable for any injuries sustained during the escape room experience unless directly caused by our negligence.

In no event shall Brain Teaser LA be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our website or services, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Brain Teaser LA, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these Terms of Use or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct).

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any dispute arising under or relating in any way to these Terms of Use shall be resolved exclusively by the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
